No two Labradors, Connemmaras or Persian Blues have the same characters just as pet owners are different from each other. A successful portrait of your pet needs the photographer to spend some time understanding the subject and its owner in order to 'catch' its character. Neil has an excellent understanding of animal behaviour having worked for much of his life with sheep, pigs, cattle and horses as well as being an owner himself of dogs and a driving pony.
Before the photography
We will meet at the venue of your choosing and spend some time discussing your objectives. You will be able to see a portfolio of examples of Neil Chanter Photography pet portraits to give you an idea of styles and possibilities and presentation options. Together we will plan the session, get to know and understand what the pet will not only be comfortable with but also bring out its character, as well as assess the lighting and background options offered by the location. When we are happy with the general situation, the photography will begin.
The Photography
With everything planned (as far as its possible with animals - the unforeseen can be the most rewarding) we will try out the initial options. The photographs will be transfered to a notebook computor for your and Neil's initial assessment. Whereever we think we could improve or if we have more ideas then further photographs will be taken and subsequently examined on the notebook. When we are both happy with the results the session will end and Neil will return to his office to prepare the presentation options.
See and order your images
All of your images will be displayed on a private URL on the Neil Chanter Photography web site so you can view and order images and select presentation options.

There is a wide range of options available. You may like a traditonal mounting and frame with a selection of mounts, frames and sizes to choose from. As an alternative perhaps you would like a picture book. The possibilities even extend to a digital picture frame that can display a number of images in sequence or randomly. It would be up to you. Look at the prices for a non-exhaustive list of the possibilities.
Prices currently are not subject to VAT.All return journeys approximately 1 hour from the Northampton area are including in the
price and and if significantly over this length are charged at £10/hour.

The intial meeting, discussion and planning at your chosen location, the photography and image review - usually lasting up to 1 hour.
